Production of the exterior facade// NEWSThe external appearance of the SAP Garden will be characterized by its facade.So-called pilaster strips made of aluminum will create a unique recognition. The legendary tent roof will thus be joined by another architectural highlight in Munich’s Olympic Park.
A total of 260 pilaster strips will be installed around the arena. The largest is about 18.20 meters high and weighs one ton. The shortest measures 11.60 meters and weighs around 600 kg. All are made of pure aluminum with a wall thickness of four millimeters.
The facade elements are manufactured in South Tyrol by the company Frener & Reifer, which will start installation in spring 2023.
