Mr. Winkler, the national team won World Cup silver, you're the German champion, and in a year you'll be moving into what is probably the most modern arena in Europe. That sounds like a wave of success...
Winkler: "The successes speak for themselves, especially those of the national team. And I think there's a lot of league in it. When you're German champion of the league, that's something special. In everyday life, you always have to pinch yourself to get it right. You're often in a hamster wheel in which it goes on and on. I'm lucky enough to drive past SAP Garden every day on my way to work. That's a motivational boost in itself."

The fans in Munich are sometimes considered spoiled - do you almost have to become champion?
Pesic: "I've been German champion nine times in my career - as a player with Alba Berlin and as a manager with Bayern. And we were always the hunted, the favorites. You tend to forget how much blood you have to pee, to put it crudely, to become champion. It's never easy."
You both dream of titles. Which factor is the SAP Garden?
Winkler: "When you're on the road in Munich, the City of Champions, you also have to perform internationally. And it's clear that the SAP Garden will take us to a new level with its additional three covered ice rinks for training purposes and for popular sports. But first of all, it's a building that you have to fill. It's certainly not like you just turn on the lights and then it's up and running."

Pesic: "I am sure that this is one of the few projects that will be several times better than previously thought. What you see here you won't find anywhere else in Europe. And that alone will be perceived internationally for both projects: 'Watch out, they're a force to be reckoned with!'"
And now? Is success a must?
Pesic: "Of course you need success, but you also have to organize it accordingly - you have to offer people something. It's all coming to a whole new level now."
Winkler: "You've seen that in soccer, too. The Allianz Arena has also taken it all to another level."
