February 14, 2019: Presentation of the winning design
The winning design for SAP Garden presented by Danish architects 3XN in collaboration with landscape architects LATZ+PARTNER.
March 20, 2019: #NameGameOn
SAP secures the naming rights for the multifunctional sports arena in 2018. Following SAP's #NameGameOn naming campaign, in which around 11,000 suggestions were submitted, the winning name “SAP Garden” prevailed with over 45 percent of the votes.
January 13, 2020: Start of construction
The first excavation for the new sports arena is carried out on the construction site. The starting signal for the structural construction work for the gross floor area of around 72,000 square meters will then be given in October 2020. Almost 350,000 tons of soil will be excavated for the construction pit.
