FC Bayern Basketball opens against Real Madrid on 3 October// GRAND OPENINGThe Grand Opening of FC Bayern Basketball in the SAP Garden on Thursday, 3 October, will offer fans a spectacular opponent in the form of Real Madrid's star ensemble at the start of the new EuroLeague season. The game kicks off at 20:45. In addition to the highlight game in the basketball premier class, there will be a large supporting programme around the SAP Garden premiere of the double winners, including a surprise concert after the game.
FC Bayern Basketball thus closes the Grand Opening, which begins on 27 September with the opening game of EHC Red Bull München against the Buffalo Sabres NHL team - which is already sold out. There will also be an ‘Open Day’ on 28 September, where Munich residents can register to get a first impression of the SAP Garden.
Early Bird pre-sale for the Grand Opening on 29 July
The pre-sale for the FC Bayern Basketball Grand Opening starts on 31 July at 12 noon - or on 29 July (12 noon to 3 pm) for those who secure a place in the digital queue in advance by registering for the ‘Early Bird’ newsletter.
A guaranteed place at the Grand Opening is also available via FC Bayern Basketball's EuroLeague or ‘All In’ season tickets (including BMW Park), which are currently available at a special price; more than 3,000 season tickets have already been sold.
Eight ‘double weeks’, second home game against Paris
The SAP Garden, the German champions' second venue alongside BMW Park, will primarily host EuroLeague match days.
The new EuroLeague calendar provides for eight double game weeks until 10 April. After the Real opener, FCBB will have to play twice away from home, at Panathinaikos Athens and Partizan Belgrade. The second home game will then be against Euro Cup winners Paris on 17 October. Defending champions Panathinaikos will visit Munich on 27 December, while the first German derby against Berlin will also take place at the SAP Garden on 14 November.
