Third Mayor Dietl: "Arena has everything to offer".// CURRENTAfter Munich's Lord Mayor Dieter Reiter had already taken a look at the construction site last week, another major figure in local politics, Verena Dietl, visited the SAP Garden on Tuesday.Our arena is taking more and more shape, attracting numerous visitors to the construction site. Before the SAP Garden becomes the new home of German ice hockey champion EHC Red Bull München and an additional venue for FC Bayern Basketball next year, representatives of the City of Munich are also taking a look at the progress being made at the Olympiapark.
Verena Dietl, third mayor of the city of Munich: "The SAP Garden is ice hockey and basketball from one source. I am very pleased that we have a multifunctional arena here that really has everything to offer and is state of the art. For us as the city of Munich, it's important that we can also offer skating times there and that training sessions take place there."
Together with FC Bayern Basketball, the City of Munich is one of the anchor tenants of SAP Garden. With three separate ice rinks, the facility also offers completely new opportunities for popular sports.
