Before you can see Munich's new landmark for yourself at the Grand Opening, we will show you some exciting places in the SAP Garden that you have not yet seen. Today we give you a first insight into the wellness area in the players' wing, among other things.
First work, then relaxation
An important part of professional sport is proper regeneration after strenuous matches or training sessions. The new wellness area in the SAP Garden, which covers an area of almost 60 square metres, offers the ideal conditions for this.
Regeneration is a prerequisite for top sporting performance. The wellness area with sauna, infrared cabin, whirlpool and ice pool ensures optimum recovery after matches and training sessions. Right next to the spacious players' cabins, players will find a variety of ways to recover from their exertions.
With a total area of seven square metres, the whirlpool can accommodate up to twelve players at the same time. The ice pool measures one and a half metres in width and two metres in length and is used for cold water therapy and for cooling down after sauna sessions.

Flying high - the ‘catwalk’
The ‘catwalk’ in the SAP Garden is not a catwalk for fashion shows, but a narrow corridor located almost 21 metres above the main playing area at the foot of the roof structure. The ‘catwalk’, also known as the ‘gantry’, serves as access for the maintenance of the technology (lighting, sound, ventilation and electrical components) in the roof area.
With a width of up to three metres and a length of 210 metres, all the equipment and systems integrated into the roof structure that are necessary for the smooth running of the event can be reached from here. However, this area is not accessible to the public.
