heinemann installs electrical systems in multifunctional arena
Projects of this size bring with them their own unique requirements. As a specialized installer for the electrical engineering trade, heinemann is responsible for the entire works and assembly planning, installation and maintenance of the electrical systems. The certified electrical company implements innovative solutions that are tailor-made to meet all the electrotechnical requirements of the complex.
In addition to supplying the facilities with network technology, cable support systems, switchgear and high and low voltage current, heinemann is also responsible for the security functions, which include the fire alarm and voice alarm systems, video and security monitoring systems, burglar alarm systems and the control center for the police and fire department. Some of the installation work and cabling of the lines took place at heights of over 30 meters.
The SAP Garden also boasts state-of-the-art lighting, ice, and transmission technology: including an LED lighting system, an excellent sound system, and a sophisticated cooling system for the ice surfaces. A total of more than 800 km of cables, around 300 circuit distributors and 5000 sockets were installed, distributing a total of ten megawatts of electricity throughout the building. heinemann thus ensures the efficient and reliable operation of a sustainable ecosystem in the SAP Garden.
The transformers went into operation in mid-August, marking another milestone together with the connection of the NSHVs. From this point on, the arena was supplied with its own electricity for the first time. In the course of this, the acceptance of the systems by the Stadtwerke München (SWM), which will be responsible for the power supply in the future, took place.

"heinemann's Road to SAP Garden" - Exclusive Insights Behind the Scenes
Interested parties can now follow the construction project as part of the four-part documentary series "heinemann's Road to SAP Garden". In the kick-off episode "The First Power", viewers experience first-hand how the electrical engineering is planned and implemented. Project managers and electrical planners show which different trades - from electrical engineering to ventilation and sanitary engineering - are already involved in the planning phase and how the planning of the individual power lines, cables and network technology succeeds using a 3D planning tool. The heinemann experts impressively show which stations the electricity passes through on its way from the Milbertshofen and Moosach switching stations via the medium-voltage systems North and South (5 megawatts each) in the stadium to the low-voltage main distributors (LVMS) and finally to the end points.
At the same time, the documentary takes the viewer on a journey of exciting insights and further milestones. "We are very pleased that Red Bull Stadion München GmbH has brought us on board for the construction of the SAP Garden. The new arena will be one of the most modern of its kind and will house a variety of different technologies - this is of course a playground for our employees," says Harald Zauner, Managing Director of Claus Heinemann Elektroanlagen GmbH. "In addition, the SAP Garden will be a new meeting place for sports fans and the general public in Munich, as well as a reference project for future large-scale projects. Therefore, it is our concern to record the construction process videographically and to share the special impressions of our employees with the public," adds Robert Klug, also managing director of heinemann.
