First stadium seats installed in the SAP GardenNext major milestone // NEWSThe SAP Garden is taking shape, which is also evident in the spectator stands. The first stadium seats have now been installed in the upper tier. In around three months, the SAP Garden in Munich will open its doors to the public for the first time. EHC Red Bull München will kick off the Grand Opening on September 27 with a game against the Buffalo Sabres NHL team. On October 3, the FC Bayern basketball team will celebrate their debut.
Ice hockey and basketball fans will then be able to watch their favorite teams play live for the first time in the new multifunctional sports arena.

There is another reason to look forward to the Grand Opening from September 27 to October 3: now that all the block steps have been installed in the stands, the first seats have also been installed in the upper tier. A total of 11,500 seats will be installed around the main playing area.
"The SAP Garden is increasingly taking shape. This is particularly evident in the interior of the main pitch, where the first seats have now been installed. This is another important milestone on the way to the opening at the end of September, especially for future spectators. It will be an unforgettable moment for every visitor to take a seat in the new multifunctional sports arena for the first time and experience the impressive atmosphere in the SAP Garden live," says Business Director Oliver Wesp.

The new multifunctional arena offers space for up to 10,796 spectators in the ice hockey setup. In the baseball setup, the total capacity is up to 11,500 spectators. So soon it will be: on your marks, get set, go!
EHC Red Bull München's game against the Buffalo Sabres is already sold out. Tickets for FC Bayern Basketball's first match in the SAP Garden will go on sale on July 1 via the club's own website.
In view of the expected large crowds, Munich basketball fans can secure a place in the digital queue from that day and register for the pre-sale on the FC Bayern Basketball website.
