Mayor Verena Dietl: "The SAP Garden is an impressive example of how modern infrastructure and sports promotion can go hand in hand. As the state capital of Munich, we can use this fantastic new multifunctional arena in the Olympic Park to jointly promote school and club sport as well as popular and competitive sport. I am delighted that we can offer this public ice skating facility to the clubs and the people of Munich."
Head of Sports Florian Kraus: "By utilising over 7900 ice hours per season, we are sending a clear signal in favour of promoting popular sports and active leisure activities. The ultra-modern SAP Garden now offers all interested parties the opportunity to enjoy ice skating in a first-class environment."
Oliver Wesp, Managing Director of Red Bull Stadion München GmbH: "The SAP Garden is much more than a state-of-the-art multifunctional hall for top sporting events. With the three additional ice rinks, we offer all Munich residents and all clubs the best possible infrastructure. And all under one roof."
The city council had already set the prices for public ice skating in July. Adults pay the regular price of 9.50 euros for two hours, children (4 - 12 years) 4.50 euros. The price for young people (13 - 17 years) is 6.50 euros. All ice sports such as free skating, artistic skating or ice dancing cost 15 euros; tickets for these times must be purchased separately. A visitor ticket costs 2 euros.
